On April 21, join a celebration of the life and work of Paul Schrade, the former director of UAW Region 6 and a lifelong champion of social and economic justice.
Schrade was a strong early supporter of the California farmworker movement, a militant labor organizer, and a vocal advocate for adopting direct elections for the UAW International Executive Board. The celebration will feature UFW leader Dolores Huerta, members of the Robert Kennedy family, LAUSD Board President Jackie Goldberg, Senator Maria Elena Durazo, LA County Federation of Labor President Yvonne Wheeler, UAW Region 6 Director Mike Miller, UTLA President Cecily Myart-Cruz, and UCLA Labor Center Director Kent Wong.
